General questions

We have discussed this question and decided to post details for each release in our Blog.

Please check the Sports list supported by JoomSport component.

The described below payment methods are active on 01.01.2016 and processed by payment partner Avangate. For technical or other reasons some of the payment methods can not be available during payment. Please contact JoomSport support if any problems appear during the submiting the payment.

Once your license is expired you need to purchase new license.

All transactions are managed by our payment partner Avangate. All the invoices for Avangate orders are generated as PDF documents.

The invoice can be downloaded by logging in to Avangate myAccount in the Order History section.

Also the invoice will be sent automatically to the billing email address provided during ordering. For each completed order, a payment receipt will also be sent automatically to the billing email address provided.

-Download purchased latest JoomSport Pro version from your Member Area; Unzip the folder

1)Make full back up of your website

2)Go BE->Extensions->Manager

3)Find all JoomSport Pro extensions (component, modules, plugin) and uninstall

4)Install JoomSport Pro extensions from the downloaded file. Enable and set up required JoomSport modules.

Note!!!During updating from one Pro version to another PRO version all JoomSport data will be saved. Just in case we recommend to make a back-up before uninstalling Pro edition.

*If any modification in JoomSport code has been done it will be lost during updating to new version.

Also please pay your attention that generally there is no need to update JoomSport Pro modules and plugins to the latest version if it was not mentioned that some bugfixes/improvements had been included into module or plugin.

Please follow the steps:
1) go to the folder _joomsport/frontend/override (installation package) or yourwebsite/components/com_joomsport/override (after installation on yuor ftp)

2) copy override folder (com_joomsport/frontend/override/com_joomsport) to folder templates/yourtemplate/html
3) modify required views

There are 2 possible solutions:

Solution 1

You need to change the allowed max file size in php.ini location and / or .htaccess file, sometimes you can find these files in root folder of your website (via FTP) if there are no such files you need to contact your hosting support and ask to increase the max file size

Solution 2

You need to put unzip com_joomsport file into tmp folder (via ftp)

Go to Joomla BE->Extensions manager->Install->Install from Directory ->specify the path to the tmp folder->press the install button

During JoomSport installation language of JoomSport component is settled automatically according to the main language of your web site.

This system works only in case if there are such language files(as on your web site) in JoomSport installation pack.

If there is no such language file you can create it yourselves.

Please follow the instruction:

1. Create the file {YOUR_LANGUAGE}.com_joomsport.ini

2. Place it in two directories:

- administrator/language/{YOUR LANGUAGE}

- languages/{YOUR LANGUAGE}

3. Once the files are placed, copy the content from En-GB.com_joomsport.ini and replace the english word with you translation

-Download purchased JoomSport Pro version from your Member Area; Unzip the folder

4)Install JoomSport Pro extensions from the downloaded file. Enable and set up required JoomSport modules.

Note!!!During updating from STD version to PRO version all JoomSport data will be saved. Just in case we recommend to make a back-up before uninstalling STD edition.

Also please pay your attention that JoomSport STD modules and plugins need to be uninstalled Only after that you should install the PRO version modules and plugins.

Check if you added the teams to the season (Back End -> Components -> JoomSport-> Season -> 'Add teams' select area)

When Moderator uses the delete function to any object,it will be removed from everywhere including BE panel and database table.

If the team is removed- it's profile,statistic and matches will be removed.Also this team will be removed from Team list and Season table.

If the player is removed-his profile,statistic and matches will be removed.Also he will be removed from Player list.

If the match is removed-all statistic connected with this match will be also removed.

Please check the versions. Our modules work only with JoomSport (old name "Bearleague")1.0.6 and higher.

In order to change language on FE,please follow the instruction given in the documentation

If you want to change language also on BE you need:

1. Create the file {YOUR_LANGUAGE}.com_joomsport.ini

2. Place it in directory - administrator/language/{YOUR LANGUAGE}

3. Once the file is placed copy the content from En-GB.com_joomsport.ini and replace the english word with you translation.

You have Java Script errors which don't allow standard Joomla! JS script to display the correct view.

Your 'media' folder located at home_dir/media has no write access, therefore our language file didn't copy. Set 755 permissions to 'media' folder and reinstall the component.
