How to start

Please check the video tutorials and follow the instructions

  1. 1) Create League
  2. 2) Create Season
  3. 3) Create Players
  4. 4) Create required Stage Categories to categorize stages
  5. 5) Create required Result fields the markers for competition
  6. 6) Create Stages to organize competition, add participants
  7. 7) To add more details to Player/Stage/Season use Extra fields
  8. 8) You can display the following FE views:

NOTE

Once number of competitors have equal results on season or stage level, the placing is splitting between them. If you use Points based ranking, points number will be awarded based on their given place number

League

In this section you can create and edit League for the participants. Leagues are used as categories for the seasons.

To create a new League, please do the following steps:
  1. Go to BE->JoomSport Achievements-> Leagues
  2. Click the New button
  3. Enter the League name
  4. Specify Slug if required
  5. Write a description in About field
  6. Press the Add New button

NOTE

The post slug is the user friendly and URL valid name of a post.

Season

In this section you can create and edit Seasons used as a category for Stages.

To create a new Season, do the following steps:
  1. Go to JoomSport Achievements-> Season
  2. Press the Add Season button
  3. Enter the season name
  4. Specify About information if required
  5. Fill Extra fields data
  6. Specify Stage Ranking criteria, chose previously create Result field and specify if it's Ascending or Descending criterion
  7. Specify Season Ranking criteria, chose previously create Result field and specify Min/Max/Sum Ascending or Sum Descending criterion
  8. Enable points if required
  9. If points are enabled please specify distribution of points by places
  10. Specify League if required
  11. Specify parent Season to collect stats from several Seasons if required
  12. Press the Save button

Stages

Here you can create Stages to organize the competition and specify it's settings.

To create Stage, do the following steps:

  1. Specify stage name
  2. Specify About information
  3. Specify Extra fields if required
  4. Add participants to the stage and specify their results in Results fields - how to create Result fields please see Result fields section
  5. Choose season
  6. Choose stage Categories, how to create Category please see Category section
  7. Press the Update button

Players

In this section you can create and edit Players.

To create Player:
  1. Go to JoomSport Achievements-> Players
  2. Enter the Player title
  3. Enter player description into About field if required
  4. Enter extra fields data if required
  5. Press the Publish button

Extra fields

In this section you can create extra text fields to add players, stage or season info
To add new Extra field, do the following steps:
  1. Go to JoomSport Achievements -> Extra Fields
  2. Click the Add New button
  3. Enter the Field name
  4. Select the field type (Text Field, Radio Button, Text Area, Select Box, Link)
  5. Specify Assigned to (Player/Stage/Season)
  6. Specify Publishing status
  7. Set the viewing permission (visible for all users or only for registered users)
  8. Press the Save&close button

Stage Category

In this section you can create Stage Category to indicate the stages

To add new Stage Category, do the following steps:
  1. Specify Category name
  2. Enable/Disable Separate results by Category Items
  3. Enable/Disable Club
  4. Add required Category items
  5. Enable/Disable Publishing
  6. Press the Save&close button

Result Fields

In this section you can create and edit Result Fields.

To create Result Field:
  1. Go to JoomSport Achievements-> Result Fields
  2. Enter the Result Field title
  3. Choose the Field type Time/Numeric/String
  4. Choose the Type Input/Countable
  5. Enable/Disable Publishing
  6. Press the Save and Close button
